I've always loved selling -- it's the hardest well paid work or the easiest low income work. Now, with the internet, small players have the opportunity to sell to millions and millions -- this is the Digital Goldrush Worldwide and it is tremendously exciting."
"Selling on the web is like one-on-one selling to someone who is standing behind a thick wall and wants to go somewhere else in 58.1 seconds."
Selling on the web is really one-on-one selling but with a cyber twist. Can't see them. Can't hear them. Can't touch them. You can't see the revealing subconscious micro-expressions no way of telling what he thinks of what you say.
BUT you can A-B test offers in minutes, change copy in seconds, track his behavior, time his visits per page, change key pictures in seconds … internet is really a wonderful sales machine that you can tweak and tune to your target audience.

Never in the history of mankind has it been THIS easy for a small business guy to achieve triple-digit growth and make … a million here and another million there … and it sure beats being someone else's salaryman.
“I'm looking for engineers, authors, manufacturers, consultants, designers, inventors anybody who can solve problems on a worldwide scale. We create multiple stand-alone internet
businesses that are positioned to ride the coming
tidal wave of worldwide internet commerce.”
“The opportunities for success on the internet are staggering.
The marketplace is enormous. Bigger than ever in the history of mankind. A jewelry-bead company does $5.6 million, a T-shirt company $6 million, home cleaning advice and products $6 million, batteries and flashlights $7.5 million, a wedding web site, started in January 2004, is now on track for $1,000,000 in annual sales.”
From John's desk on Friday, 10 June 2005:
Just got back from the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition in Chicago, and one word to describe it all is -- UP -- things in internet retail are booming!!! Internet sales in the United States topped 87.5 billion in 2004. The top 400 internet companies generated combined internet sales of more than 51 billion (Internet Retailer Top 400 guide). That's 401 million separate sales with an average ticket of $127.
Amazon (a pure web player) did 6.9 billion last year, Dell 3.2 billion, Staples 3 billion on web alone, blah, blah, blah … but you know, The Big Guys don't seem to know any more than the small Corey Rudl educated entrepreneur, they just have a heck of a lot more money to throw at the problems that crop up. Small guys use their brains.
And what was crystal clear is that the opportunities for small operators in niche markets are FANTASTIC (The Big Guys don't want to touch these markets because they are worth only a few lousy million). Like the US government treasury guyI forget his name nowsaid. "A billion here and a billion there and pretty soon you're talking about real money."
I had a chance to chat with a lot of smaller players: A jewelry-bead company does $5.6 million, T-shirt company $6 million, home cleaning advice and products $6 million, batteries and flashlights $7.5 million, a wedding web site, started in January 2004, is now pulling $1,000,000 in annual sales … really, what's wrong with that?
A Vancouver Canada company has 100+ web sites selling in 11
high-margin business and consumer sectors. Their click-thru advertising
budget alone is $1,000,000, and -- here's the killer - they did it
in 4 years with a customer base of 25,000!
And when you set up your worldwide business on the internet, you can live almost anywhere in the world villa in Spain (asking price 351,000 euros), 114-acre horse ranch in California (asking 1.25M USD-negotiable!), oceanfront home in British Columbia (asking 419,000 CAD) … it really doesn't matter, and like Mark Victor Hansenthe Ambassador of Big Thinkingsays, "You'll probably want them all."
Yes, the opportunities for small enterprises are like never in the history of mankind. With the potential markets approaching a billion users, you now KNOW why you never were meant to be somebody else's salaryman. Of course, we agree with Woody Allen who said, "You can't have everything in the world and where would you put it all".
… luckily, we have wives who seem to know where to put it all!!!
Way to go guys!
John Kumpunen,
P.S. Look, I grew up in my parents' retail stores, I saw the long, long hours, the bend-over-backwards service to please customers, extending credit to the poor folk until their next pay day -- it ain't the way to go. Ries and Trout talk about finding a horse. You gotta find a horse to ridea big idea, a famous person, an angel banker, a concept that will allow you to do a quantum leap. I went to the same school as Jeff Skoll. Who's Jeff Skoll, you ask. He's one of the founders of eBaynow the third richest man in Canada with (at the time) 4.3 billion to his name. Make the internet your horse, please.

I will help you to create multiple stand-alone internet
businesses that are positioned to ride the coming tidal
wave of worldwide internet commerce.
Do you have information, skills, talents,
products that can be sold worldwide?
At this very instant, there are over 6 billion of us flying through space at 30 km per second somewhere on the outer flange of the Milkyway galaxy. And 100% of the basic needs we have are absolutely universal.
We cry, laugh, anger, and get excited for pretty much the same reasons. We are all the same (scientists tell us that we are genetically 98% identical to chimpanzees although some mornings, looking into the bathroom mirror, I believe this number to be a gross underestimation).
If you can satisfy a need in Ohio, chances are that you can satisfy the same need in Ethiopia, Helsinki, Dubai. And pretty soon you will have 1,000,000,000 people to tell your story at download speeds of 100 megabits per second. It's coming …

Dear Fellow Entrepreneur,
At the heart of Internet Sales Agency.com is "Venture Marketing" -- strategic partnering with existing and new businesses to create risk-sharing ventures to seek out, leverage, scale, and respond to worldwide demand.
Much like angel investors or venture capital firms in the financial world, we back promising entrepreneurs, inventors, designers, manufacturers by putting our money and marketing talents to work to reach the growing markets in the global village.
- We support entrepreneurial ideas that can grow to $5 million+ in 5 years or less. With the enormous market potential of the global village, thousands of ideas have the potential.
- We assist in the development of business plan, market research, SEM marketing and budgeting, and prepare presentations to raise seed, start-up, and venture capital.
- We help to build stand-alone lasting companies with unique branding that continue to thrive, go public or are sold to larger enterprises.
- We help great entrepreneurs to build the leading niche-market companies of tomorrow.
As founders of early-stage companies, we have early-stage operating experience. We have access to seed capital and a growing pool of angel investors who are tired of measly returns they get from the institutions. And as internet marketers ourselves, we live and breathe the internet business.
Confidentiality:
And as designers, inventors, industrial designers ourselves, we understand that confidentiality is the starting point of a relationship. We will sign non-disclosure and non-competition agreements that will protect your idea, design, and privacy.
Colossal Market:
We are on the verge of something really big! It's been described as the Digital Gold Rush Worldwide. And it will be bigger than television, radio, magazines combined: 888 million market (as of Mar. 2005) and growing rapidly!
And the real market is perhaps 30 … 50 … 100 … 250 times bigger because consumers buy not one but tens, hundreds of products every year.
Look, we all missed the California gold rush, the Oklahoma land rush -- don't miss this Digital Gold Rush Worldwide. There are a growing number of internet users looking for products. Amazon, a pure web player, did about 7 billion last year, but there are countless small operations that are moving from hundred thousand sales to millions in a matter of months.
